Privacy

In short: your photos and videos never leave your computer. We store your email address, how many videos you have used or have left, when you last used the tool, and your purchases – nothing else. We also count page visits without cookies (see below). No ads, no tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

Your photos, videos and thumbnails
Background removal, picking stills from a video, colors and the thumbnails themselves are all made in your browser, on your own computer. Your photos, videos, logos, icons and finished thumbnails are not uploaded to us.
What we store

The legal basis is that the data is needed to provide the service you asked for (GDPR article 6.1 b), and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and understanding how many people visit (article 6.1 f).
Cookies
We use one cookie, at_session, which keeps you logged in (for up to 60 days). It is strictly necessary for the service, so we don't ask for consent. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies – visits are counted without storing anything on your device.
Other services
- STRATO (Germany) hosts the website, the database and sends the login emails. Like all web hosts, their server logs may briefly contain your IP address.
- jsDelivr, Google Cloud Storage and Hugging Face deliver the open-source background-removal and face-detection models to your browser the first time you use them. Like any website, they see your IP address when your browser downloads the files. No photos or videos are sent to them.
- Payments will be handled by a payment provider (such as Lemon Squeezy) when buying opens. They process your card details – we never see them. This page will be updated before then.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or have your account deleted at any time – email info@samidatools.com from the address you log in with. Purchase records we are legally required to keep are kept, but separated from your account. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
